More than 50 hours after a gas leak was first reported, PG&E released detailed information, in response to questions from San Jose Inside, about the Wednesday leak that had forced the evacuation of hundreds of San Jose residents.

The gang members, suspects in several violent crimes over the past six months, were arrested last week in San Jose as part of a sting that netted weapons and stolen property.

Police released home security video footage today that shows suspects driving up to Khan Lieu's home on Misty Glen Court at 1:23pm. on June 21, 2018 and getting out of a black Lexus ES350 sedan to approach the home before forcing their way inside. 

San Jose police have not yet identified the homicide victim, and did not identify Ishihara until today’s announcement on Twitter. The press release gave no further details about the incident, the victim or the alleged assailant.

The motive for the fatal shooting at 1:50pm Thursday morning, the 18th homicide in San Jose in 2021, is under investigation, police said.

Also on Memorial Day, San Jose recorded its 17th homicide of the year. No suspect has been identified or apprehended.

Multiple San Jose Police units and members of the media converged on a South San Jose home associated with Samuel Cassidy this morning, and the block was cordoned off in the aftermath of Wednesday’s VTA rail yard shooting, which law enforcement officials confirmed resulted in multiple fatalities and the death of the shooter. One Facebook post identified Cassidy as the deceased shooter, but no official confirmation is available at this time, and an active investigation is underway. According to Transparent California, Cassidy worked as a Substation Maintainer for Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) making $182,901.70, including benefits, as of 2015.

The small SUV appears to be white with a thin black stripe running the length of the car, police said.

The deaths marked San Jose’s 27th and 28th homicides of 2020.

Police are currently looking for any additional victims who may have had contact with Rojo. 

San Jose police are investigating Saturday’s triple shooting that produced the city's 16th homicide of 2021.

Police said the officer suffered injuries that were not considered life threatening.

Anyone who provides information that assists in the arrest and conviction of the assailant may be eligible for a cash reward.

The driver of the car fled the scene and police are looking for leads.

The worker was taken to an area hospital for medical evaluation.
