In August 2021, the case was assigned to a San José Police Department and District Attorney's Office Cold Case team which brought new life to the investigation.
“These three suspects worked in concert to commit dozens of robberies throughout the Bay Area, many in San Jose,” San Jose police said. “Asian females were frequently targeted, and many of them were injured during the robberies.”
