SJPD Asks for Public’s Help in Sexual Assault Case Against Local Nightclub Promoter

Police are asking the public for information about sexual assaults allegedly committed by a South Bay nightclub promoter named Marcos Lopez-Cabera.

The 29-year-old San Jose resident has been locked up since his July 11 arrest on suspicion of several felony counts of sexual assault. According to the San Jose Police Department, his three known victims hail from Redwood City, Campbell and San Jose.

In an announcement issued late Wednesday, police urged anyone with information about those cases to contact detectives Beth Stenger and William Hall of the SJPD Sexual Assault Unit at 408.277.4102.

Those who prefer to remain anonymous can call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 408.947.7867. Tipsters who help lead authorities to a conviction may qualify for a cash reward from Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers.
