Salinas 'Acosta Plaza'Norteño gang members were arraigned Jan. 6 on wide-ranging felony charges from years of vicious gang activities in Monterey County.

Police said street gang members were arrested for attempted murder, armed robberies, assaults, possession of firearms and possession of narcotics, according to a press release.

The gang members, suspects in several violent crimes over the past six months, were arrested last week in San Jose as part of a sting that netted weapons and stolen property.
