California voters will decide on a high-stakes billionaire tax, an $11 billion affordable housing bond and new voter ID requirements.

Former Santa Clara City Council District 5 candidate David Kertes failed to file the necessary signatures for a recall against the re-elected Suds Jain.

So far, political fundraisers have set up six campaign committees to spend on either side of the still-unofficial recall election.
