Santa Clara County prosecutors said today they do not have enough evidence to file charges against Benjamin David Calderon, whom Gilroy Police arrested Oct. 30 in relation to a fatal shooting at a Gilroy city councilmember’s home.
A 19-year-old cousin of Gilroy council member and prominent Santa Clara County Democrat Rebeca Armendariz was arrested in connection with a Halloween party shooting outside her home that left an 18-year-old dead and three other teens injured.
Gilroy Community Development Director Karen Garner said Amazon will be the tenant at the site. A spokesperson for Amazon declined to comment. Documents filed with the city said the facility will bring in 197 full-time jobs, starting at $15 an hour.
