Tesla Recalls Sportscar

Last week saw Bay Area electric car maker Tesla sign a deal with Daimler, making it worth half the value of Big Three car manufacturer GM. Yesterday, the company hit a snag when it was forced to recall all 345 of its Roadster vehicles because some bolts on the rear chassis were improperly torqued. The company has offered to visit buyers homes to service the vehicles, which cost $109,000. No accidents have been reported as a result of the problem. Read more in San Jose Business Journal.

  1. Yeah, they stole a bunch of Lotus’ engineering team also.

    I would have lost a bet that their first safety recall was mechanical . . .
