Meanwhile, in Metro, The Fly takes note of the birthday of programming tools PHP, without which this blog might be very different.

Also this week, Alicia Upano in the Willow Glen Resident discusses a development just approved by the Planning Commission despite the Planning Department being against it.  Mayra Flores De Marcotte  reports on the plan to bring back Founder’s day in 2006.

  1. You do not need a massive city hall to foster wheeling and dealing, especially for commission appoutnments. Another city with the free mower man making the lists and checking them twice, has got a small on El Camino and they do just fine.

  2. Hmm,

sentence one,  It does not matter if it is in a small building or a big building, there are cities were deals are made all the time.

sentence two, we have another city, where a council member who gives out free lawn mowers in San Jose makes up his lists who will get appointed to help him run for mayor.

    how is that???

  3. JM, it’s futile.  What is needed is for someone to start a “Santa Clara Inside” blog and then maybe the indecipherable postings will land there instead.

  4. Memo to Rich Robinson,

who was the most famous student from San Jose State Aeronautics??

Joe Trippi, classes taken in 1979.

Of course now, Aeronautics at San Jose State is the program the university wants to shelve and actually its precision flight team run more competitions than the football program which Don Kassing wants to pour 5 million into.

Why do we need to have an industry like aviation thriving in America, right, President Kassing??
