The company behind ChatGPT is converting to a for-profit company and settling an investigation by California’s attorney general, but the company could still exploit its charitable roots.

Judge Amit P. Mehta said Google must hand over some of its search data to rivals, falling short of the sweeping changes proposed by the government to rein in the power of Silicon Valley.

At last, a sustained labor movement geared toward tech seems to be gaining real traction here in the Silicon Valley.
