Two women and one man, Iranian nationals living in San Jose,  are accused of sending trade secrets from Google and other technology companies to unauthorized third-parties and to Iran.

Former Google software engineer Linwei Ding of stealing confidential information about Google’s artificial intelligence technology to help the People’s Republic of China.

Between 2011 and 2019, Racho Jordanov, as President and CEO of JHL Biotech, obtained and possessed confidential, proprietary, and trade secret information from Genentech, and used it to accelerate the timeline for and to reduce the costs of JHL Biotech’s development and production of copies of Genentech products.

The convictions follow three years of cooperation with a federal investigation of thefts of trade secrets and wire fraud that involved the participation of the FBI and IRS.
