Publicly-traded companies destined to follow Google to downtown San Jose aren’t exactly the companies fueling the Silicon Valley gold rush.

This question is not about how San Jose should regulate e-scooters, but what’s taking so long for the city to do so.

The Google development will lead to a more vibrant San Jose. But we don’t have to wait seven years to shed the bedroom community moniker.
