SV411 Podcast: San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo on Trump, Google

In announcing his re-election bid, San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo declared that we live in a much different world compared to four years ago.

I interviewed the mayor in his office less than two weeks ago, and it’s safe to say we already live in much different times than just the distant date of Aug. 10, 2017. Charlottesville and a president who equivocates on white supremacists have seen to that.

Below is last week’s Metro SV411 podcast, which features an extended interview with Mayor Liccardo, in between the random musings of yours truly and Metro arts & entertainment editor Nick Veronin. (All events discussed at the tail end of the podcast have already passed. And apologies on sound quality—we’re still working out the kinks for remote interviews.—Editor)

In a wide-ranging conversation with the mayor, we discuss Donald Trump’s presidency, the massive Google office complex that could be coming downtown, pension reform, minimum wage, homelessness, how police deal with the mentally ill and the mayor’s branding strategies since taking office.

To listen to just the interview, fast-forward to the 23:20 mark.

WARNING: If you listen to the entire podcast, be prepared for a little adult language in the opening segment.

  1. Da Mayor is obviously an Anti White racist, Anti Free Speech, Pro Communist Anarchist, That likes the idea of beating down the opposition with a violent rent-a-mob supplied by Nazi loving types like George Sorhead that would like to see the United State become a satellite of North Korea.

Things sure have changed in San Jose, tash and potholes all over the city, flooded homes and streets, and homeless people now blocking intersections, cops that only show up if someone bleeds to death, and an out of control budget again.
Well done Mr. Mayor maybe you could sell nuclear secrets Iran and Venezuela to balance the budget or sell that ugly statue to the Bloodthirsty God of Mexico.

  2. > a president who equivocates on white supremacists

    Josh:

    This isn’t very specific.

It seems to be the case that just about every President of the United States “equivocate[d] on white supremacists”.

George Washington? Slave owner. Thomas Jefferson? Slave owner? Abraham Lincoln? “DIdn’t like Negroes”. Woodrow Wilson? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!! Franklin D. Roosevelt? Put a KKK member on the Supreme Court. Lyndon Johnson? He was a Texan. ’nuff said. William Jefferson Clinton? He liked children from his white wife more than he liked children from his black “mistress”. No color blindness here. Barack Hussein Obama? He seemed to like hanging out with the rich white people on Martha’s Vineyard more than he liked poor black people.

IF YOU LOOK FOR IT, there is a general pattern among Democrat presidents: they like poor black people; they like KEEPING poor black people poor; AND they like aborting black babies. White supremacism, maybe?

    “The Negro Project” (Margaret Sanger)

    Malthusian Eugenics
Margaret Sanger aligned herself with the eugenicists whose ideology prevailed in the early 20th century. Eugenicists strongly espoused racial supremacy and purity, particularly of the Aryan race. Eugenicists hoped to purify the bloodlines and improve the race by encouraging the fit to reproduce and the unfit to restrict their reproduction. They sought to contain the inferior races through segregation, sterilization, birth control and abortion.
Sanger embraced Malthusian eugenics. Thomas Robert Malthus, a 19th-century cleric and professor of political economy, believed a population time bomb threatened the existence of the human race.

Malthus’ disciples [–>> Margaret Sanger, Hillary Rodham Clinton, AND Barack Hussein Martha’s Vineyard Obama] believed if Western civilization were to survive, the physically unfit, the materially poor, the spiritually diseased, the racially inferior, and the mentally incompetent had to be suppressed and isolated or even, perhaps, eliminated.”

  3. Sam sure has been a disappointment. He should be ashamed of himself for allowing those thugs to beat up those Trump supporters just because he likes Hillary.
