San Jose Deemed Least ‘Sinful’ American City in New Report

By the Numbers: 150th

In a ranking of the most sinful cities in America, it’s no shocker that Sin City tops the list. But where does San Jose fall on a slate of 150 locales? Dead last. Fremont, the sleepy suburban neighbor to the north, ranks next to last. That’s according to an “evil deeds” index released this month by WalletHub. The financial advice site analyzed the most populous U.S. cities based on 27 “key indicators of evil deeds.” The deeds fall under seven categories: anger and hatred, jealousy, vices and excesses, avarice, lust, vanity and laziness. Indicators of said deeds include heavy boozing, infidelity, violent crime, theft, obesity, drug overdoses, plastic surgeries and theft. On WalletHub’s list of hardest-working cities, however, San Jose came in 54th out of 150. Maybe Silicon Valley’s staggering cost of living has something to do with the ranking. San Jose’s too busy working for rent and high-priced homes to afford any vices.

  1. We’re at the BOTTOM??

C’mon, folks, get with the program! Show some pride in our city.

Let’s get out there and COMMIT MORE SINS!

If we don’t do it… who will?

  2. And how many “massage” parlors are there in San Jose and what do most (all?) of them do for a few ($100-$200) extra dollars! At least they aren’t walking the streets!

    • Ella,

It takes real talent to be that far off topic. How do you do it?

Now, get out there and commit some sins. Time’s a-wastin’!

  3. I don’t believe this article. San Jose is full of dishonest people. I think this is the only place I have lived where there are more dishonest people, than honest.
