Bay Area sports fans have lived a pretty charmed life the last half-decade. First the San Francisco Giants went one season on, one season off for three World Series titles in five years—next year they should be back—and then the beloved Golden State Warriors went on a tear this past season to defeat LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers to win their first NBA title since 1975.
While we’re still waiting for the San Jose Sharks to deliver that elusive Stanley Cup, local hoops fans got a little taste of life at the top Monday at City Hall, when they were able to pose for photos with the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.
